Cocktail on the Run

If you are in Kangnam and are in need of a cocktail on-the-go, or perhaps you're running low on vinyl zip bags, then you might be interested in a cocktail from Bomber's. Bomber's is like what we call a taco truck (or manapua truck) back home, except they sell cocktails.

As I mentioned before, there are no restrictions on drinking in public in Korea. You'd think that with the easy access to alcohol, you'd see a lot more public drunkenness in Seoul -- Oh, wait...

I'm not certain if they have a regular schedule, but you can probably find the Bomber's truck on the weekends, parked near Kyobo Tower. Cocktails start at 3000 won.

i saw those at dakhakro too. how are they?

they were giving out free soju on campus the other day during lunchtime. yes, and who could forget? the guys in soju costumes came too! kinda freaked me out..

and, thanks for finding an in&out substitute. i've been craving it ever since i got back from cali. i used to go to kraze to get a little taste of in&out. actually, i had this really funny experience there and i never went back after.

i said "regular mool joo sae yo" and the waitress was like "regular upt suh yo." she got me an evian!!! and im like, ah nee yo! geu nyang mool yo!" and she kept shaking her head and said "only evian!" who orders evian with a hamburger? -_-; i ended up paying 2000won for a itty, bitty bottle that i finished up in one shot. what was i supposed to say? tap water joo sae yo?" hmm..

random question... you wouldn't happen to be from hi? only b/c i read the word manapua, haha. if so - i'll make use of stereotypes and assume that you *might* be a fan of spam musubis...have you seen that spam musubi place near 이대?

Veronica: Kraze burger totally has tap water. What's up with the Evian? The free alcohol samples are weird. I'm still used to people asking me for my i.d.

Cheri: Indeed, I was born and raised in HI. Of course I like spam musubis:) Sometimes I wake up craving spam, eggs, and rice. Though in Korea, I eat Richam. Spam is pretty expensive.

I still get my i.d checked out too! It's a good feeling to get carded at 24 in KOREA! i'm used to getting carded in the US but in KOREA, c'mon. . . .

Wow, you were born and raised in HI! niiiice. you're lucky it only takes like 6 hours to get home. :] i'm from so cal. and it takes 12, sometimes 13 hours to get home. :[

and, no more kraze for me. it's too "bi ssa" for a starving graduate student. haha.

ah cool, i guessed right! (i grew up in pearl city haha.) i'm really bummed they don't have turkey spam here though. i did find chicken vienna sausage at hyundai dept store but it was something like a $1.50 for 6 little weiners in a can. lame. oh but those triangular musubis from 7-11 usually do the trick too.
